dc.description.abstract |
The aim of this work is to study the performance purification of wastewater through the system using filter beds planted with vegetables. Experiences around the world show the growing interest of this technique and its reliability hydraulic, economic and ecological.
To accomplish this work was to prepare tests on a pilot experiment on analysis of waste water at the entry and departure of impermeable tanks. Six (06) combinations have been made in choosing the choice of type of flow (vertical and horizontal). Each variant is to move the effluent through beds of the basins, filled with gravel and sand planted with Phragmites.
The results of purification performance, primarily BOD5, COD, TSS, dissolved oxygen and heavy metals etc. ..., are acceptable to the standards required for discharges of wastewater into the receiving environment. They show returns to abatement of water pollution than the average (above 50%) compared with those obtained by the natural breeding station of the town of Tizi.
This finding confirmed by laboratory analysis, leads us in terms of recommendations, the proposal for a phytoépuration using macrophytes as a primary treatment of domestic wastewater in small towns. Finally it would be interesting to install this type of process phytoépuration down the station in Tizi lagooning order to improve its purification. |
