dc.description.abstract Transport infrastructure represents the balance between spatial planning and national strategic priorities in the short, medium and long term. This implies the urgent need to redefine some approaches to review the compatibility and consistency of priorities at local, regional, national and international. The assessment of transport infrastructure projects is an essential instrument for effective decision making in the development of transport policies and investment planning in this area. It assesses the impacts beyond the boundaries of individual projects or areas of jurisdiction of a planning authority, such impacts are often decisive choices designed to increase the transport capacity of the main routes. The mega project of the East-West Highway (Highway A1) will be the first corridor and Algeria may be a link in the Maghreb. The objectives sought in this thesis are the valuation of this corridor Algeria. This assessment has not been a research topic before, was conducted in the context of the strategic evaluation of transport infrastructure projects. The evaluation process macro is a set of four frames relevant grouping factors largely ignored by traditional territorial analysis, such as multi-criteria analysis (CMA) and cost benefit analysis (CBA) involved more economic benefits than external factors in the transport system, but nevertheless crucial in the context of political space very problematic roads. The main goal of macroeconomic analysis is to identify and evaluate, through several multidimensional frameworks and a variety of relevant factors, potential impacts that help or hurt in any way, the development of the whole space and Territorial Corridor. Our research focuses on four frames geographical, environmental, geopolitical and institutional socio-economic. The assessment, review and analysis of key macroeconomic frameworks of the corridor were used to compare the performance of all assigned factors and their impacts, we could detect the correspondence between the factors and context of the Corridor. The results clearly show that executives socioeconomic, geographic and environmental and geopolitical and institutional support are the desired development of the corridor of the East-West Highway (Highway A1). en_US
