Résumé:
Several studies were realized on the swelling phenomena of soils. This phenomenon which still remains non controllable, cause great damages on buildings all throughout the world. All the investigations done till now, have as objective to mitigate the extent of these damages through improving our knowledge on the swelling soils behavior and controlling factors responsible for this behavior. In this context, the present study represents a contribution to the stabilization of two clays, the M’Zila(Sidi Ali-Mostaganem) and the Bourmadia(Relizane). It can be found in the literature, several stabilization procedures of expansive soils. For the sake of promoting certain materials, the Beni-Saf ‟s pouzzoulana is used for the stabilization work. It will be presented in this study, experimental results obtained from different tests of characterization i.e: mineralogical, mechanical and oedometer tests. These tests will allow us on one hand to determine certain characteristics such as: constituents of the clays, mineralogical properties, Atterberg limits, mechanical properties, and also pressure and potential of swelling. On the other hand, these tests and particularly the oedometric tests will permit us to carry out stabilization tests by the addition of pouzzoulana.
