dc.description.abstract The main objective of this work is to study the impact behavior composite materials and their behavior more precisely the impact of the ball by the method of planning experiments. The studied materials are laminated to build a matrix reinforced with polyester and glass fibers. This thesis consists of five chapters. The memory map is as follows: The first chapter introduces the materials composites. Their classifications, consideration of their use, their structures and their families. In chapter 2, we presented the aramid fibers which are specialized in ballistic protection, the chemical structure of aramid, mechanical properties, the manufacturing process and especially their use. In the chapter 3, a broad definition of impact, kinetic energy and the various applications (aerospace, automobile and military). The Gillet armor is our object. In the chapter 4, a well defined representation of the method used in our work, the method of planning experiments. The Chapter 5 presents the experimental work carried out to study the behavior of composite materials to the impact of ball, a presentation of samples, their manufacturing processes, the dimensions and materials used for this experiment. The sequence of experiments. In the last chapter, an analysis of the results was performed using a mathematical model. en_US
