dc.description.abstract As milk is a staple food, it must meet quality requirements for the consumer and for the dairy industry. To achieve these objectives, breeders must control and prevent mastitis especially, sub-clinical, which represents a very high infection rate. For this, the objective of this study is to detect mastitis early, by isolating and characterizing pathogenic germs in dairy cattle from the experimental farm, from the Abdelhamid IBN BADIS University in Mostaganem. Bacteriological results from the milk allowed the isolation and identification of a coagulase negative staphylococcus. The cleanliness index indicates a relatively clean condition of the premises and the animals and the teepol test reveals the presence of subclinical mastitis in a dairy cow. This shows that the conduct of milking and the hygienic condition of the premises are probably the cause of the invisible breast infections. Adequate training of breeders on the methods of early detection of mastitis and on the hygiene measures to be followed in the management of dairy cows will significantly reduce the occurrence of mastitis and the resulting financial losses. en_US
