dc.description.abstract Osteoporosis is a diffuse skeletal disease, characterized by a decrease and change in bone microarchitecture, which causes excessive brittleness in the bone, exposing you to an increased risk of fracture. This work takes stock of a therapeutic objective in order to maintain bone mineral density while preventing the risk of falling based on a few types of seeds such as: Lepidium sativum Linn and Salvia hispanica, from the botanical family (Lamiaceae) and (Braciaceae), these species are used by our Algerian population and can find a therapeutic application. As part of this work, we extracted raw extracts of chia and watercress seeds from the “Lamiaceae” and “Braciaceae” families by decoction. A phytochemical study of the two types of seeds studied has highlighted the presence of active ingredients such as flavonoids, alkaloids, quinones, in large quantities and this indicates the presence of an antioxidant effect. en_US
