Résumé:
Our work consists of a comparative and descriptive retrospective study of a study based on the exploitation of a set of files of diabetic patients suffering from cancers admitted within the EPH of Mazagran of the wilaya of Mostaganem for the assumption of responsibility of their neoplastic pathologies, for 1 month from February 2, 2020 to March 4, 2020.
Current data therefore seem to show that diabetes increases the risk of developing several types of cancer. In the future, it may be necessary to consider an intensification in the screening of different types of cancer in diabetic patients.
Our goal firstly was to take the statistical study of diabetics and cancer patients, for the last six years (2014 to 2019) and to carry out the different anatomopathological parameters related to cancer such as age, sex, and the type of cancer and secondly an analytical study of the effectiveness of chemotherapy in diabetic patients.
This study involved 100 patients (80 cases for the statistical study and 20 cases for the analytical study). The most affected patients are over 45 years old and are type II diabetics under treatment with chemotherapy and they follow by biochemical parameters give more precise indicators on the nothings and the liver which are the organs most susceptible to beings affected (by a metastatic state) during the course of chemotherapy. The parameters are always different depending on the patient and the number of patients increases each year.
Thus, the cancer pathology and the various anti-tumor treatments applied induce deterioration in the general condition of the patients with negative repercussions on the functioning of different organs, in particular the liver and the kidney.
Our objective is to see what is the relationship between the two pathologies (diabetes and cancer), and to demonstrate the effects of chemotherapy on the biochemical parameters of patients.
