Pollution of water and soil from various industries are major sources of pollution Activated carbons are
porous adsorbents produced from various carbon precursors, which are widely used in bleaching
processes water
The objective of this work is to study the possibility of preparation of activated carbon from waste
acceptable food (olive pits and date) by physical activation with steam in a fluidized bed reactor. The
effects of various variables were studied
The experimental results showed that the activation of coal with the air achieves an iodine value of
372.63 mg / g for olive cores et361, 48 mg / g for cores date, a methylene blue index of 218.95 mg / g
for the cores of olive and 206.63 mg / g for the cores of date, the use of steam achieves a iodine value
of 505, 21 mg / g for olive cores et 487, 41 mg / g for cores date and an index of methylene blue from
224.43 mg / g for olive cores and 217.88 mg / g for cores date, activation with a mixture of air and
steam allows a iodine value of 514.16 mg / g for the cores of olive et 502.23 mg / g cores date index of
methylene blue from 236.65 mg / g for olive cores and 228.56 mg / g for cores date
The fluid velocity, the residence time of the chemical composition and the temperature a significant
influence on the activation process of coal, it is preferable to use this method instead of using activation
of chemical pollutants the end of a value more in the fight against environmental pollution |
