dc.description.abstract The microwaves present a very significant application in physics, it is the characterization of materials. In our project, we are interested in uniaxial materials (determination of their tensor of permittivity). The test device is an electromagnetic cavity excited by a micro strip line through a slot. This structure is connected with a network analyzer that allows us to measure the coefficient of reflexion. This device was divided up into three elements (line-slot - cavity).We modelled each element by its admittance. From these three admittances we measured the coefficient of reflexion of the set of our device. In virtue of these measurements we arrived at the tensor of permittivity of the studied middle. The results are in concord with the experiment. en_US
