Abstract

This study aims to highlight the impact of merger and Acquisition on the economy, As one of the most important options the institution uses to maintain its standing and viability, It deals with the concept of mergers and acquisitions and the distinction between them, and their main motives and objectives, In addition to addressing merger and acquisition divisions and financing methods, and explain the impact of its development on the economies of the United States of America, the European Union, North Africa and the Middle East. This study focuses on the impact of mergers and acquisitions by civital and Lafarge-Holcim on the economies of States, It's had both a negative and a positive impact. The study found that merger and Acquisition are the choices of enterprises in new competition to increase their competitiveness, survival and resilience in a world of mega-entities and economic changes, despite their positive effects, these processes have negative effects through several variables on the economy
