Pregnancy is linked to significant physiological and haemostatic changes including primary haemostasis and coagulation factors. Several disturbances of hemostasis can be observed during pregnancy. These disorders can lead to several clinical situations such as abortions and haemorrhages.
The aim of this study is to follow the changes in the parameters of hemostasis during the three trimesters of pregnancy in pregnant women of different age groups by evaluating the prothrombin rate (PT), the kaolin thromboplastin time (kCT), the quick time (QT) and the number of thrombocytes and other variables can impact these tests such as blood group and certain diseases.
The results obtained from this study show that there is a significant difference in the variables studied which were noticed only in the third trimester compared to the other two trimesters.
It notes that blood groups O and A have significant effects on PT during the 3 trimesters and the 3 age groups, this is associated with the effect of blood groups A on the TQ of first and second trimesters of the different age groups.
High KCT values are recorded in samples belonging to blood groups (O, A, B, AB) of all age groups. In addition, blood group A has a significant effect on variations in thrombocyte count.
Some diseases are responsible for the appearance of certain hemostasis anomalies, the best known of which are hypertension, bleeding, anemia, diabetes and infections.
After consultation, this study reveals that abortions in the population studied have no relationship with the variations of these parameters studied. The most common causes are stress, chronic diseases and drug effects.
Our results confirm that it is necessary to carry out tests which are essential for the control of the health of the mother and the fetus in order to avoid the possible risks of abortion during pregnancy. |
