Three samples, each composed of five sampling units of red Tilapia fish (Oreochromis sp.) were taken once a month for the three months of the study from the aquaculture farm in the town of Zemmora, wilaya of Relizane, and evaluated for their microbiological quality. The results revealed a significant abundance in Total Aerobic Mesophilic Flora (FMAT) which is of the order of 0,7.105 to 2,7.105 ufc/g but which meets the standards in force. Regarding fecal contamination flora, the abundance of total coliforms was between 2,7. 103 and 27.103 ufc/g, that of fecal coliforms between 0,3.103 and 103 ufc/g which is higher than the reference criteria which is 10 ufc/g .
However, it should be noted the total absence of E. coli, coagulase + Staphylococcus and salmonella in all the samples analyzed. Overall, red Tilapia fish (Oreochromis sp.) have an unsatisfactory microbiological quality . |
