dc.description.abstract Citrus cultivation occupies an important position in the national and global economy. Grafting is a technique of multiplication and improvement used in fruit trees, where it consists of associating the advantages of the underground part by the rootstock with the advantages of the aerial part by the graft. However, the varied use of several rootstocks can address problems of salt stress, saving water, exploiting agricultural land, and enhancing the affinities with various grafts. These tests are carried out in “Garden” plant nursery in Algiers, in order to study the compatibility and affinity by monitoring grafting recovery rates of three varieties of citrus grafts (Orange Navelina, Clementine Nules and Lemon Eureka) grafted onto three new rootstocks. (Citrus Volkameriana, Citrange Carrizo and Poncirus Trifoliata), and installed in three different growing conditions (heated greenhouse, ordinary greenhouse and outdoors). The comparison of these three parameters between the different associations gave us these results: the greenhouse heated gives good grafting results, the Citrus Volkameriana rootstock is the most vigorous, while the Poncirus Trifoliata has low recovery rates, especially with The Citron Eureka variety and in outdoors, the best association is: Citrus Volkameriana X Orange Navelina. These results can be a good choice for citrus growers. en_US
