The effects of pre-competitive warm-up on stress management
The purpose of the current study was to investigate the psychological benefits
of a pre-competitive warm- up in the stress management, for a soccer player , it
is also an attemp to explain the relationship between the warm-up and the
stress though comparing to each hormonal response. To achieve the objectives
of this study , the researcher used the descriptive approch an the scale of Sport
Competition Anxiety Test (SCAT) , that was prepared by ‘Ryamz Martins and
others 1990’. In his Arabic version that was developed by ‘Hassan Alawi 1998’,
it was distributed to a sample consisting of 180 players in a category of U20 ,
from the two professionals divisions of Algerian football league . in the east of
Algeria during the sports season 2015-2016 2016 .
After conducting the necessary statical operations the results showed that
the players of the sample of research are exposed to different levels of
psychological pressure( stress) , also there is a statically significant difference
at the level of α = 0.05 between level of the stress befor and after the warm-up.
The research suggested a group of recommendations , notably introduce the
relaxation techniques in the pre-competitive warm-up , and make this process
includes alle aspects of general preparation which help the athlete to start the
competition in good conditions . |
