Language policy in Algeria since independence is a combination of different perspectives. The main objective of the study is to provide an understanding of globalization
and its effects on language policy formulation. Nowadays, globalization and the spread of The English language as a lingua franca of the 21st century affects the situation of local languages by Algeria and language policy are a new challenge for Algerian society and decision-makers.
The question of the relationship between globalization and language policy implies a new approach to study how societies relate to each other in the light of current globalization.
the dominance of the English language is the result of the world power of the United States. Linguistic Globalization is embodied above all in the predominance of a language at the expense of other languages. |
