dc.description.abstract The study aimed to find the extent to which high school students to social networking sites , specifically the Facebook and its impact on academic achievement and scientific and they earn from their use and through study on a sample of 80 pupils in Ahmad Medagri high school at Tiaret have been relying on one the most important research techniques which form saluting form has been divided into 3 axes : The first axe habits and patterns of use of Facebook among high school students , while the second axe handled motivated to use this class site Facebook , while we find the third axe addressed the use of the site and its impact on academic achievement ,The study found a range of results , including: More than half of the sample use " Facebook " permanently ratio of 51.25 % occupies them and used the proportion of 46.25 % for more than three years and an average browse more than twice to three times a day by 45 % of the total members of the sample and make up the number of hours the amount of 42.5 % through the use of one to two hours a day in the days of the study and we found that the percentage of use of the site in the holiday rise in the number of hours to more than four hours a day, 53.75 % , and constitute the Chat largest service interacts with the sample with friends and come all of the comments and share photos in the second place , and form a relationship of kinship and friendship the most important and more standard for the selection of friends by the respondents , then the standard Classmates , the Answers shows that most of them use it motivated to meet new people , then culture, followed by getting rid of the boredom and after communicating with friends and family. The simple use the social networking site " Facebook " and don’t reviewing their lessons by 38.75 % compared to 13.75 % for those who are reviewing their lessons permanently we found 47.5 % rivise it sometimes depending on the circumstances and the times available and we also find that the use of the site impact on the level of academic achievement for members the sample rate of 58.75 % , Keywords : social networking sites , academic achievement , site facebook high school students , use and gratification. en_US
