dc.description.abstract Today, the problem of sedimentation of basins, estuaries, ports, dams and other sensitive structures is of interest to many researchers. Various operations to deal with the consequences of deposition of solids at the mercy of currents are proposed, but the problem is far from being solved. Our contribution through this doctoral research consists of studying the post-dredging problem of sediments coming from a dam and a port, and for reasons of proximity we opted for the port of Oran and the Bouhanifia dam. Indeed these two infrastructures are dredged regularly: the dam to recover volumes of water storage for the region of Mascara which is agricultural vocation and the port which is the first port of the southern shore of the Mediterranean, from Gibraltar, built in deep water that can accommodate large cargo ships. We will notice that the dredging operations are all the more expensive as necessary for the survival of these strategic works for our country. Otherwise, the consequences of dredging, which can be summed up as "becoming dredged materials" due to a lack of know-how, have had a negative impact on the environment and new constraints have emerged. Thus the way to no longer consider these materials as waste and rather to consider them as raw materials, has been highlighted: The recovery of sediments from dredging certainly contributes to the resolution of the problems posed. Our goal was first to develop the mud from the dredging of the port of Oran and the dam Bouhanifia as a base material in the manufacture of baked brick. The study of the marine mud revealed its unsuitability to be used in the manufacture of the cooked brick considering its non-clayey aspect and the presence of a high rate of contaminants which tends to weaken its morphology. Experimentally, we have shown that the mud from the dam Bouhanifia meets the standards for making red bricks with a non-polluting character. The use of this material in the manufacture of baked brick has a certain economic and environmental profitability. ATD / ATG thermal and differential analysis and X-ray analysis (XRD) have facilitated the optimization of the firing temperature at 850 ° C, which tends to save some cooking energy compared to the conventional process. Durability tests designed for cooked brick based on sediments have given satisfactory results. Moreover, since the tests in our case are numerous and tedious, we have opted for a method of sampling approach using a computer model based on optimization and makes it possible to solve and optimize the characterizations to retain the most suitable sample (chemically) using a genetic algorithm. en_US
