dc.description.abstract Olive growing occupies an important position in the national and global economy. Grafting is a technique of multiplication and improvement used in fruit trees, where it consists of associating the advantages of the underground part by the rootstock with the advantages of the aerial part by the graft. These tests are carried out in “el nakhla” plant nursery in Ain Defla, where we have studied the multiplication of the olive of the variety sigoise by two methods of multiplication which are: The herbaceous cuttings under fog greenhouse to see the influence of the date of sampling of cuttings on the rhizogenesis and it has been observed that the month of October and November (the autumn season) is the best date for setting up the herbaceous cutting of variety sigoise for production. The grafting of the oleaster by two methods (crown grafting and escutcheon) followed the grafting steps of each method, the material used and the grafting period of each method. The follow-up of crown grafting gave us results on the graft recovery time which is 45 days and the graft recovery rate which is 80%. en_US
