Résumé:
Among the most popular crops in Algeria, citrus cultivation occupies a very important
place and constitutes a valuable economic interest. The varied use of several rootstocks can
address expanded farmland exploitation problems, salt stress, water saving, improved
affinities with graft varieties. Compatibility is one of the most important criteria in choosing
the rootstocks.
This study aims at investigating the compatibility and affinity by the follow-up of graft
recovery rates of two graft varieties of citrus fruits (orange Washington Navel , Clémentine
Orograndé) grafted – in shield – on two new rootstocks (Citrus Volkameriana , Citrange
Carrizo). Our work is carried out in the nursey El-Nakhla . The comparison between the
different associations gave us these results :
The multi –chapel greenhouse has an important role to ensure favorable environmental
conditions such as humidity, when the grafting is chosen in winter.
The best association of point of view recovery time to grafting and development status
is high is Citrus Volkameriana X Clémentine Orograandé , it is the combination
between the most vigorous rootstock and the most vigorous variety .
The result of our study seens to be a good choice for citrus nursery growers.
