The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of addition of bentonite and acorn to ration on the carcass parameters and histopathological changes of visceral organs belonging to broilers meat raised on soil and in coop. The acorn was harvested in the forest of ZEBOUDJA near Chelif-Algeria. The bentonite calcic was extracted from strata of Hammam Boughrara at Maghnia-Algeria. The experiment was conducted on 216 ISA chicks meat which were divided on the 10th day of rearing into 6 groups of 36 subjects each and seted out into 3 batches raised on ground with a traditional density of 10 chicks by square meter and the 3 remaining groups reared in coops with a higher density of 20 subjects. The tested diets were delivered to birds of the experimental batches until the 58th day of rearing and concerned a standart ONAB food, a diet with a 33% maize substitution by the acorn and a third ones with 33% maize substitution by the acorn to which is added 2% bentonite. Measures of carcasses weight and many organs samples were taken from 5 chickens of each experimental group on the 42sd, 49th and 58th days of rearing in order to do the histopathological test. The weight carcasses data recorded periodically were performed by a bi-factorial statistical analysis completed by comparaison of averages.
The incoporation of acorn and bentonite in diets seems to result in leanness carcass chickens compared to the control ones in spite of the abdominal fat deposit seen in birds.
Regarding the performance of carcasses, chickens reared in coops were relatively (P<0.05) more mediocre than birds raised on ground. |
