Currently, essential oils are beginning to have a lot of interest as a source of bioactive natural molecules. They are being studied for their possible use as an alternative for the treatment of diseases and although other important biological properties. The purpose of this modest work is to determine the antibacterial activity Essential oils (Salvia officinalis) on three pathogenic bacterial strains Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli, this has been demonstrated by the method of hidrodistilation.
Our objective is thus realized by the determination then the study of the antibacterial activity of the essential oil of Salvia officinalis vis-à-vis three Gram-negative bacteria (-) and Gram-positive bacteria (+), Escherichia coli And Pseudomanas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus, according to the disk diffusion method, according to the disk diffusion method. The essential oil of (Sage) has a strong antibacterial activity represented with diameters of inhibition ranging between 11 mm to 16 mm against Staphylococcus aureus, 8 mm to 12 mm for Pseudomanas aeroginosa and 7 mm for Escherichia coli. |
