Résumé:
Generally cylindrical (circular or non circular) are the most essential elements of a marine structure (pipes and offshore), and most frequently used. These structures are subjected to oscillatory flow induced by environmental forces (wave, current etc ....)
The main objective of this study is to investigate the influence of geometry on the flow field and hydrodynamic forces acting on the cylinder subjected to an oscillatory flow in regime A.
To realize these objectives, we studied the oscillatory flow in regime A around a form cylindrical with differents sections ranging from circular to the elliptical form by solving the equations governing the flow two-dimensional (2D) using a code developed in the laboratory of « Numerical Modelisation Of Mechanical Phenomena » at the University of Mostaganem.
