Abstract

The production of methanol is performed through the reaction of carbon monoxide and hydrogen these two component constitute the synthesis gas this latter is obtained by the reaction between the natural gas and water vapor. The catalytic reaction between natural gas and vapor, takes place in a furnace at approximately 1000°C in tubes containing catalyst. The goal of this work is to check the thermal sealing of the furnace of reforming and to calculate the conversion rate after this study we shall be fixed on the rate of loss of heat of the furnace and to propose recommendations.
