Résumé:
In Algeria, melon like watermelon is cultivated in almost all Algeria; they occupy 12% of the areas used for market gardening with a production of 8.5% of the total production of market gardening.
The vegetable seeds used (melon, watermelon, tomato etc...) are hybrid seeds of first generation very expensive and can reach sometimes between 100 and 200 million old the kilogram and for good reason, direct sowing in the field or in the field has been banned. The production of nursery seedlings has become almost obligatory.
The main objective of our work is therefore to highlight '' the effect of two doses of starter fertilizer (STARTSOL 10-42-12) and a fertilizer (CLINOFINE) on seed germination and seedling development in nursery (stem and root system) of F1 hybrid melon Cucumis Melo.
The experiment was carried out in a greenhouse installed at the experimental farm of the University of Mostaganem "ITA". The plant material was placed in a block system of repetitions for the four treatments (control, 5g STARTSOL, 10g STARTSOL, 2.5g CLINOFINE). The parameters monitored were: germination rate and plant development at the seedling stage, whether it was CLINOFINE fertilizer or soluble fertilizers (1st stage) with high phosphorus content, both showed a better germination rate and better plant development compared to the control which did not benefit from any treatment. The results show that the effect of 2.5g dose of CLINOFINE fertilizer was better than the doses of 5g of STARTSOL NPK (12-42-10) and 10g of STARTSOL NPK (12-42-10), which themselves showed a clear superiority over the T0 control.
