Résumé:
The olive tree occupies a very important place in the national agricultural economy. However,
its development continues to face problems in the production of quality plants.
In Algeria, olive cultivation with date palm is a composition of sustainable development processes, Thus,
the use of biotechnologies and scientific and technological innovations applied to olive growing is essential
so that the olive growing sector is in line with the new data governing the performance of any agricultural
activity at the level of production and processing at marketing level.
The suitability of the olive to the different methods of propagation encouraged us to carry out this
experiment (production of olive plants stifled with the rhizogenic hormone AIB),
The best result obtained for scions with 06 leaves, put in place at the beginning of March (70% of cuttings
are rooted). On the other hand, the 3-leaf scions put in place from 15 March showed a good result
(up to 60%). On the other hand, beyond the month of March the results are negligible or even zero.
Asexual propagation (scions) in the olive tree especially for the variety Sigoise (object of study) and
certainly related to the period of placement of the leafy semi-woody scions.
