Etat des ressources en eau dans la wilaya d’El Bayadh. Mobilisation et contraintes de distribution

Abstract

The water resources mobilized in the region of El bayadh are estimated at 349.63 Hm3/year (surface water and underground water) intended for the drinking water supply and agricultural hydraulics sectors on the one hand and 114200 hectares the surface of the proposed irrigated perimeters on the other hand. These data put the wilaya of El bayadh in the position of being a region with an agricultural vocation in all its zones: north (kheiter, sidi Amar, Boualem) and south (pre-Saharan and Saharan zones (Brezina, EL Abiodh sidi cheikh and Bnoud, Boussemghoun, Chelala and Mehara,Arbaout) and pastoral in the other regions. The land of the wilaya of El Bayadh is an open-air research laboratory for the benefit of the university center, especially the hydraulic sector. This field constitutes a research project for an integrated and sustainable management of water resources, drinking water supply and sanitation of unserviced areas or extensions, protection of floodable areas, protection of the environment (treatment and purification of wastewater), use of non-conventional water (reuse of wastewater) for agricultural purposes, these are all lines of research to be undertaken at its university center.
