dc.description.abstract |
Water resources in the province of Mostaganem have diversified in recent years. Indeed, after several years of water shortages, water services were opened in 2004, food by taking a share of Gargar more drilling for pumping ground water. Two years later, in 2006, the dam Kramis was put into service.
If water resources for AEP has seen a substantial development, ground water resources for the agricultural sector are rather decaying. Indeed, the exponential decrease in the level of the water table, accelerated by the extension of speculative profit, has reached a critical point for gardening and arboriculture. One can cite the example of the lowering of the water table is 1 m.an-1. In this case, two major problems must be considered: the depletion of groundwater caused by overfishing and pollution due to the intensification of agriculture, industry and other activities.
The objective of this work is to make a diagnosis of ground water quality in the province of Mostaganem. The main results of this approach show that the ground water is heavily contaminated with high concentrations of elements in relation to the health world organization. |
