Abstract

This dissertation attempts to study the work of the British playwright Harold Pinter, and see how the French translations of his plays have been carried out as well as the challenges which drama translators face. The author concludes that only adaptation seen as a strategy of translation can solve the problems raised by translating dramatic texts from one language/culture to another.
