Abstract

This study aims to know the social perception of work towarks the government sector and self-employment, a field study of a sample of social science students, which used the qualitative approach and interview technique for a sample of 17 students. We concluded that the family has a role in building perceptions for its children as the first pillar in which it is raised ,and it chooses the type of work , especially for females ,while males consider themselves independent and they are the ones who control their destiny . Most students prefer the government sector due to the advantages it provides.
