Abstract

In order to know the therapeutic interest of medicinal plants used to treat functional disorders of the intestine and the stomach, an ethnobotanical survey was carried out among 100 people in the region of Aachaâcha (Mostaganem), using cards pre-established questionnaires. The results of the survey showed à frequency of use of (60% women and 40% men). The survey also revealed that the leaves are the most used part (42.80%) and the majority of respondents prepare their herbal remedies as an infusion (56.50%). the population survey revealed 24 species belonging to 13 families, among the most widely used are the Apiaceae, Lamiaceae, Zingiberaceae and Lauriaceae. Moreover, these results obtained constitute at. the same time a very important source of information for the national medicinal flora.
