Résumé:
The process of performance appraisal is one of the basic and strategic functions in human
resources management, through which the institution aims to judge the performance of its human
resources and then its general performance, as the efficiency of any organization and in any sector
depends on the efficiency of human resources performance, and given the importance of the
performance evaluation process, it is necessary for the institution to review the human resource,
and ensure that it achieves the desired goals to the fullest, and this is by ensuring that it meets the
conditions required in sound and effective evaluation systems.
Through this study, the process of evaluating the performance of human resources in one of the
Algerian economic companies, represented by the Algerian Company for Electricity and Gas
Distribution, was studied. The results of this study revealed a reliance on old methods of evaluating
the performance of employees.
In the end, a number of suggestions were presented that helps improve the evaluation process to
serve the objectives of the institution and its members
