Abstract:
This study aimed to identify the role of knowledge management in enhancing the competitiveness
of economic institutions, through a field study at Algeria Telecom, Mostaganem. Statistically using
the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS), the study assumed the following: There is a
statistically significant relationship for knowledge generation, storage, distribution and application
in achieving competitive advantage, and the study concluded that there is a relationship between
knowledge management processes and competitive advantage, and the study recommended that
the institution should establishing a dedicated department that takes care of knowledge
management to create a competitive advantage, as well as increasing work on the formation of
training courses and encouraging the transfer of knowledge among workers and attracting the
institution to the competent human resource to perform the work
