The sea among the most important source in life for nutrition and tourist and economic attraction.
The pollution caused by the desalination plant is part of the pollution that threatens marine life in general and also causes a disturbance in the levels of the marine ecosystem. Our study included the evaluation of the quality of sea water on sites, of lmarsa el kbir (mactaa) by doing 23 physico-chemical analyzes (PH, temperature, conductivity, salinity, turbidity, TH, TAC, Tca++, TDS , chloride, organic matter, ammonium, nitrate, nitrite, phosphorus, iron, sodium, potassium, sulphate, manganese, calcium, magnesium, bicarbonate) and 5 bacteriological analysis (Total coliforms, Escherichia coli, Faecal streptococci, total germs, Clostridium sulfitoreducers) carried out at the level of the Algerian laboratory, Wilaya of Mostaganem waters were used to see the impact of the mactaa desalination station. We have even in our results that the pH and temperature and also the turbidity without more or less in the standard; and the other parameter without elevated by a carries the global characteristic of sea water. The bacteriological results of this study indicate the presence of total and faecal coliforms and faecal streptococci and total germs and also clostridium in the sites studied causing their contamination
