Effet insecticide de l'huile essentielle de Pistacia lentiscus vis-à-vis du puceron noir de la fève (Aphisfabae)

Abstract

The black bean aphid is a particularly worrying pest, occupying a very special place among the most important pests causing considerable economic losses. The use of insect control methods based on natural molecules of plant origin would be an interesting alternative for minimizing the impact of pesticides on all living beings and ecosystems. A great deal of research has recently been carried out into the biocidal properties of plants through their essential oils. The results are very encouraging, which prompted us to carry out this study with the aim of testing the insecticidal effect of the essential oil of Pistacia lentiscus on the black bean aphid Aphis fabae. To meet this objective, a steam extraction of the leaves of Pistacia lentiscus. L was carried out. Laboratory tests were carried out to determine the contact and repellent insecticidal effect of the essential oil as a function of time (days) and at different concentrations (0.25μl, 0.5ul, 1ul, 1.5ul, 2ul). The results obtained showed that the essential oil of Pistacia lentiscus has remarkable insecticidal potential against Aphis fabae. The oil yield was 3.53% for a quantity of 716.8g of dry leaves. Corrected mortality of A. fabae exceeded 60% from the first days of treatment, for both tests (repulsion and contact). The LD50 of the contact test was equal to 0.22 ul/ml after six days of treatment.
