Résumé:
Gummosis is one of the most feared diseases in the citrus world. It has a wide geographical distribution and different names.
In Algeria, it is referred to as "parasitic gummosis" and "crown canker".
Citrus cultivation is threatened by many diseases and pests, which require special attention in order to protect citrus cultivation. The aim of this study is to carry out the morphological and pathogenic characterization of different species of citrus phytophtora in the Mostaganem region.
The four soil samples collected from citrus trees from four different Mostaganem sampling sites: Sidi Fellag, Douar Menanda, Sirat and Mnsourah, allowed us to conduct our study with nine isolates of Phytophtora sp.
We performed a mycelial growth test on the nine isolates obtained in two different culture medium (PDA and V8), the analysis of the ANOVA variance started on the numerical values of mycelial growth shows that the impact of the culture medium factor is not significant unlike the isolate factor.
On the pathogenic side, we did a pathogenicity test where we inoculated the stems of young citrus plants with Phytophtora sp. strains. Of the five strains tested, four strains are pathogenic.
