Résumé:
The goal of this work is to suggest the alternative solutions based on the use of natural
products such as bio-insecticides to control tomato leaf miner Tuta absoluta which represents
a risk to the tomato harvesting in Algeria. To achieve this goal, we evaluated methanoic
extract of Ricinus communis L., a plant that thrives spontaneously in Mostaganem area. The
extract yield obtained (Soxhlet extraction) diluted to different concentrations successively
(10%, 20%, 30%, 40%) by spraying the larvae of T. absoluta. LD50 was very high (exceeding
50%), while L1 and L2 larvae are the most sensitive to the extract used.
