Résumé:
Handling in import and export operations is considered one of the
successful strategies in developing industry in the world. However,
despite the steps taken by Algeria aimed at developing this strategy to
cover a large number of institutions, these efforts are still very modest
and do not keep pace with what global experiences have reached in
this field.
Through our discussion of the role of handling in the import and
export processes, we concluded several results, the most important of
which are:
Handling works to achieve the optimal allocation of resources by
focusing on basic professions and delivering activities that can be
considered secondary to external dealers, which helps the
commanding institutions to improve their competitive ability by
reducing their production costs and improving the quality of their
products. It also allows them to expand their activity and penetrate
new markets, which contributes to Creating jobs and thus reducing the
unemployment rate.
Handling activity constitutes a fundamental focus of the strategies of
industrial establishments in advanced industrial countries that have
been able, through this method, to develop and develop their products.
There are several attempts by the Algerian state to advance the field of
handling, as many legislations and laws have been issued regulating

this activity, and four stock exchanges have been established for
handling and partnerships that seek to accompany and develop
handling institutions.
Despite the great role that handling centers have played around the
world through their interest in handling in the field of import and
export, through the promotion of industrial handling, their role in the
Arab countries and Algeria has remained limited, and perhaps the
reason for this is the lack of awareness of the importance of handling
on the part of large institutions.
