Among the subservient insects, citrus aphids occupy a very special place because they are considered today among the most important insect pests inducing significant economic losses.
In a perspective of looking for new aids that may be used in biological control against these pests. This preliminary work has focused on the evaluation of the effectiveness of organic insecticide methanoic extract from the leaves and flowers of salvia officinalis sage on adult of aphid species, namely Aphis spiraecola.
The results obtained show that this extract has demonstrated prover insecticidal action vis-à-vis the spicie of citrus aphids, with a greater effectiveness of leaf extract after flowering with an DL50 of 5% followed by the extracts of the front leaves flowering and flowers with an DL50 of 14%.
