Delve into the groundbreaking exploration of judo performance and recovery with this compelling study-turned-book. This work investigates the impact of three distinct recovery methods—active recovery (AR), passive recovery (PR), and judo-specific recovery (JSR)—on the performance outcomes of the Special Judo Fitness Test (SJFT) before and after application. Aimed at coaches, athletes, and sports scientists, this book offers a detailed analysis of how these recovery techniques influence performance and blood lactate elimination, providing valuable insights for optimizing judo training.

We are thrilled to present this in-depth study on the real-time effects of the Special Judo Fitness Test (SJFT) and the impact of various recovery methods, a work carried out with passion and rigor. As a contributor, I have had the honor of collaborating with a dedicated team to explore performance before and after active, passive, and judo-specific recovery. This book reflects months of research, on-the-ground observations during a 2022 judo camp, and meticulous data analysis.
The 12 selected participants played a key role, offering their commitment and expertise to this project. The methods used, including anthropometric tests and the Lactate Threshold Test (LT4), were applied with care to ensure the reliability of the results. I would like to thank the coaches and athletes for their essential collaboration, as well as the colleagues who contributed to interpreting the data on blood lactate elimination and post-recovery performance.
This book aims to serve as a practical tool for judo coaches and practitioners, highlighting the simplicity and effectiveness of the SJFT.
