dc.description.abstract |
The present study focuses on the in vitro and in planta antifungal activity of two different species of Trichoderma sp. on Colletotrichum sp., the causal agent of anthrachnosis, using two methods : direct confrontation and remote confrontation. In addition, in planta studies were carried out on bell pepper seedlings.
Results showed that indirect confrontation with Trichoderma AM isolates led to a reduction in mycelial growth and sporulation of Colletotrichum sp. In contrast, direct confrontation with Trichoderma MW colonies resulted in inhibition, followed by cessation of growth at a distance. However, the in-planta test demonstrated that the MW isolate had a strong antagonistic effect on Colletotrichum, particularly as a preventive treatment, compared with the AM isolate. |
