Résumé:
In this age of globalization, learning and using English has got an unquestionable status and has
become primordial in all fields in the Arab context. The branch of English for Specific Purposes
(ESP) is tailored to develop, master and apply English language skills in specific professional or
academic contexts. With the emergence of digital tools, learners are no longer waiting for an
instructor to teach them the language, they are given the opportunity to learn by themselves and at
their own pace. However, a scant attention is directed to ESP in relation to the tremendous revolution
of technology, particularly in Artificial intelligence (AI). Therefore, this dissertation concentrates on
developing a mobile application for ESP that puts forth AI in its core. The aim is to enhance the
teaching of different specialities through this application that assists learners in leveling up their
speaking, listening, reading and writing skills that target their specific needs. Hence, this boosts their
chances to work abroad, get in touch with foreigners who share the same perspectives and goals, and
increase their professional development. By integrating and promoting this application and learning
through it, individuals will not only get motivated to learn English, but also create a practical
atmosphere to improve their communicative skills. The goal from this application is to empower
workers outside of the Anglosphere, which in turn will improve their skills, instantly increase the
worker’s value, ultimately resulting in growth in the country’s economy, thanks to the professionals
skills and their ability to work comfortably with first world countries without facing any language
barriers.
