Résumé:
Herbal medicine is a traditional medicine which is used by the population around the
world, it is also the knowledge and the use of therapeutic properties of plants that contains
mainly secondary metabolites.
This work reviews the interest of the botanical family (Lamiaceae) such as Rosmarinus
officinalis, Salvia officinalis and Mentha viridis, which are used by the Algerian population
and can be used therapeutically or cosmetically.
In this work we extracted the raw extracts of medicinal plants from the lamiaceae family
by methanolic and ethanolic maceration and tried toweigh the flavonoids and alkaloids in
each dry crude extract during different times.
A phytochemical study of the three plants revealed the presence of active ingredients
such as flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, in very large quantities which have an antioxidant
effect.
