Abstract

The experimental study is devoted to the evaluation of the antimicrobial effects of pepper mint extracts (hexane, methanol, ethanol and water) of Peppermint (Mentha x Pepirita) harvested in two regions of the country (Mostaganem and Naama) on the specific germ of references (Staphylococcus aureus) recognized as being the most responsible for urogenital infections in women such. Peppermint extracts from the Mostaganem region produced low antimicrobial activity in S.aureus (microbial growth, inhibition zone diameters, growth rate, and inhibition rate) compared to mint extract. peppery harvested in Naama. All extracts have bactericidal inhibition except for the hexane extracts of the Naama region which showed bacteriostatic inhibition
