Résumé:
This work focuses on the effect of hexane, methanol, and ethanol Thymus vulgaris in two
regions, Mostaganem and Naama, on the germ responsible for uro-genital infection.
Escherichia coli Natural extracts from plants contain a range of bioactive compounds that are
attributed to an inhibitory potency of microorganisms and antioxidants In this work, we
investigated the antibacterial effects of Thymus vulgaris a plant widely used in medicine,
traditional, also in agribusiness industry around the world. Extracts of Thymus vulgaris were
tested on the germ Escherichia coli responsible for uro-genital infection, using the method of
direct contact, the disk method, to determine the minimum inhibitory and bactericidal
concentration. Our study is summarized in the following points: Extraction by maceration of
bioactive compounds extracts of Thymus vulgaris from the two regions of Mostaganem and
Naama with hexane, methanol, ethanol and water. The inhibitory effects of thymus vulgaris
extract on Escherichia coli bacteria. Finally, from the CMB / MIC reports obtained, the
extracts of Thymus vulgaris exert an inhibitory effect of bactericidal type on Escherichia coli.
