We know that the scarcity of resources in low-salinity waters is a major problem in Algeria. The majority of irrigation water in the arid and semi-arid zone in Algeria is of underground origin. Ground water is frequently saline with a salinity of more than 2.25 dS /m. for overcome this problem, a new technology based on the magnetization of water, can constitute a solution of recourse allowing the valorization of these waters in agriculture.
Consequently, this work aims at enhancing saline waters in agriculture after magnetization; And to highlight the impact of these waters on the various components of the environment, in particular the physical and chemical characteristics of the soil; Drainage water and the physic-morphological and chemical behavior of the species studied (broad bean Vicia faba L, bean Phaseolus vulgaris L. and barley Hordeum vulgar L).
The results of physico-chemical analyzes of the water used in our experiments before and after magnetization show that the latter results in a slight increase in pH and a slight decrease in electrical conductivity.
The results of trials of three plant species seeded in 3 kg plastic pots in a non-controlled environment showed that magnetized water irrigation results in a beneficial effect by decreasing the electrical conductivity of the soil. Relative to ground irrigated by non-magnetized water.
The effect of magnetization on the characteristics of the plant material results in very beneficial effects on germination as well as on growth (stem height, root length, leaf area, number of Leaves) and the physiological, hydric and chemical parameters of the plants used. |
