Résumé:
The impact of the strategic management of information for a better performance within an
economic institution
The modern trend in the management of business organizations has become a necessity for
them to achieve continuous successes in their various operations and to obtain competitive
advantages that allow them to survive in a highly competitive and complex environment. This can
only be achieved through management with a long-term vision and future-oriented thinking, and
determine what they want to achieve, and what they want to be in the future. Under these changes,
the organizations realized that the strategic approach plays a key factor and a key role in facing
these changes, especially with the development of IT applications in the administrative field, which
characterizes organizations in their performance.
Hence the problematic we tackled through this fundamental question: to what extent does the
Algerian institution implement the strategic management of information as a means to achieve a
better performance?
We have tried to study within this research paper with two hypotheses to try and answer this
problematic through a comprehensive plan in which we discussed the theoretical framework of the
strategic management of the information and the emerging information developments, and how it
affected the better performance of organizations, which requires them to develop their position in
the market By diagnosing internal and external factors to discover opportunities and threats and
thereby gain a competitive advantage and thus remain and continue.
Getting into the general conclusion whereby we've included a set of results that focuses on the
necessity of keeping pace along with the technological development which also plays a role in
activating the strategic management of the modern organizations to cope with the pressures of the
complex competitive environment and achieving a better performance, guaranteeing the success
and advantages that allow them to confront and survive. And this should be pursued by the
Algerian economic institutions, in particular the Foundation (Sonelgaz) for Electricity and Gas.
