Résumé:
Our study has been carried out in farms located at Boumerdes. It has concerned
25Montbeliard and pie noire dairy lactating cows. Data have been collected and analysed from
registers; reproduction schedules and individual cow have been recorded from 2015 to 2017;
some parameters have been determined in order to evaluate reproduction performances and
dairy production.
Analyses data have resulted in:
Age of heifers at first calving has been of 27, 98 ± 2, 80 months; the calving interval has been
of 415, 25 ± 82, 67 days. It was ranged between 392, 57 58, 12 days to 422, 43 ± 94, 99. The
conception rate at first service has been of 66 %, and 18 % of cows have failed to conceive
after 03 services or more, synonymous of a poor rate of fertility in this herd. Calving has been
distributed over the year, although, it has been lesser in winter than in other seasons. The
average rate of abortion at the first lactation has been of 12%, and of 9% in the second
lactation. The average annual milk production has been approximately of 4500 kg/year/cow.
