Résumé:
Various pesticides have demonstrated hazardous, genotoxic and carcinogenic potential via different mechanisms, among of which oxidative stress. Until now, biomonitoring and epidemiological studies have been carried out to assess toxic and genotoxic risk to exposed human populations. In this sense, the present study was carried out to determine cytotoxic and genotoxic effects of the pesticide used in Algeria. Different concentrations (0.1 – 0.2 – 0.3) % of the fungicide (previcure) were applied to the roots of Alluim cepa by comparison with a control. The mitotic index is determined later, to understand the influence of the fungicide studied on the division of the cells of the onion. It has been noted that increasing the doses of previcure involves increased cell division.
