Résumé:
Many researchers define old age as a decrease in functional and psychomotor abilities, moreover, the elderly person is more exposed to diseases related to old age and therefore more to fatigue and overwork after the slightest effort.
To help this category of elderly persons restore and maintain certain functional abilities to perform various activities of daily living without any help and to be independent and to achieve some psychosocial consent ; this study aimed at designing a preventive motor guide to improve certain physical and psychological variables in the elderly.
For this purpose a sample of elderly people institutionalized in the institution of the elderly of the wilaya of Mostaganem was selected , Due to the nature of this study and the method used premeditarily (experimental method), the group is divided into two parts an experimental group and a control group consisting of 27 persons ( 16 woman and 11 man ) we performed a statistical study using ( SPSS 22 ) , the results revealed that the guide was designed to help older people practice daily physical activity as a preventive treatment to improve physical and mental health.
It is recommended to focus on physical activity, encourage the training of specialists in this field, improve the functional and motor skills of the elderly , improve physical and mental health And to do researches in this category to solve a variety of health issues related to aging.
