Résumé:
This work aims to study fishing and its statistics at the level of the ports of La Salamandre and that of Sidi Lakhdar in the wilaya of Mostaganem over a period extending from 2011 to 2022.
At the port of La Salamandre, the evolution of small trades is almost continuous, taking first place in particular in 2019 to 2021, followed by purse seiners (sardine boats) and trawlers. On the other hand, concerning the port of Sidi Lakhdar, small trades take first place, especially during the years 2016 to 2021.
The rate of small trades and trawlers at the port of Salamander greatly exceeds that of Sidi Lakhdar, especially from the year 2017. On the other hand, that of seiners, the evolution is almost continuous and identical at the level of the port of Sidi Lakhdar and that of the Salamander. The evolution of trawlers is similar at the level of the two ports.
At Port Salamander and Sidi Lakhdar, the evolution of the production of pelagic species is continuous and highly significant compared to other species. The pelagic fish, in particular the blue fish from the Salamander, greatly exceed those from Sidi Lakhdar, but the evolution of production is continuous and favorable over time. In the assembly of the different sea depths at the level of the fishing areas, we find a very wide range of fishery resources.
We conclude that the fishing fleet is continuous with a predominance of small trades and pelagic species followed to a lesser degree by demersals and crustaceans.
